Last weekend was the Fours Head raced over the Championship course from Mortlake to Putney a distance of just over 4 miles. Due to the popularity of the event it is now split over three days. This year for the first time the nearly 300 junior crews raced on the Friday. Unfortunately the weather was not kind and for those who had to boat early they had three hours of torrential rain. Sunday was the Upper Thames Rowing Club’s Autumn Head, raced over approximately 3,000 metres from Greenlands to the Regatta Finish, with racing in two divisions of around 150 crews each.
