Henley Open Events has been the organising force behind the Henley Sculls since 1971, a tradition that has since expanded to include Fours & Eights in recent years. These events cover a challenging course of approximately 3,000 meters, flowing upstream from the base of Greenlands to the prestigious Royal Regatta finish line.

HENLEY TOWN & VISITORS’ REGATTA

HMR 2.png

The 800-metre regatta course takes place upstream, from the 'Old Blades' to the 'Hole in the Wall.' The origins of this event can be traced back to the late 1850s when it began as the Henley Rowing Club Boat Races. In 1887, its name evolved to Henley Town Regatta, and subsequently, the term 'Visitor' was incorporated to signify that the Regatta welcomed participants from clubs outside of Henley.
