Metropolitan Regatta

Last weekend was Metropolitan Regatta another event raced at Eton Dorney Lake. The Met format is slightly different; crews race a time trial in their category but then regardless of category the fastest eight crews race the A final, nine to sixteen the B etc. Eleven Henley Junior girls raced in their single sculls in the Junior category. In the time trial Charlotte Tong finished 8th of the 35 scullers so progressed to A final, Chloe Hughes, Jess Mack, and Nicollette Pagdin 13,14,15th respectively so to B final, Scarlett Hyde , Molly Hall and Evie Meeks made the C final, Sophie Floyd, Tilly McKenzie Smith the D final and Holly Jackson and Jemima Butterworth the E final. 

In the A final Charlotte was on the start line with some of the countries best scullers including Olympic Champion Imogen Grant whilst the top scullers moved into a clear lead Charlotte was in a battle with scullers from Dublin and Dart Totnes in the lanes next to her, whilst Charlotte finished eighth in the A final as the only junior to make the A final she picked up the junior trophy.
