Henley Rowing Club Juniors continued their run of success this season with further wins at the Oarsport Junior Sculling Head at Dorney Lake.
In the WJ14 coxed quad event, the crew of Jess Arlett, Felicity Parfitt Sophia Hahn Livy Petersen and Esther Morgan as cox won gold medals in the A division.
In the B divsion, the WJ14 coxed quad of Emma Gray, Maya Andrews, Phoebe Fletcher, Amelia Crick and Emeline Warner as cox won a silver medal close behind the gold medal winners of old adversaries, Oxford-based Headington School.
Henley Juniors also competed at Dorney Lake on Saturday at trials to represent Thames Upper region at the Junior Inter-regional Regatta in April.
The J15 coxed four of Bruce Turnell, Cameron Jones, Joe Zolkwer, Jack Broadbent and Lachlan Reid (cox) were fastest in the trial time.
The boys J14 sculler Tom Crook took first position and was eligible for selection. His double with Henry Peters also qualified and so the boys will go to Nottingham to represent the region as a double.
In the junior women’s WJ15 and WJ16 events, the region will be an all-exclusive Henley Junior Women’s Squad team, with the singles, doubles, quads, fours and eights all represented by Henley crews.
